I do like having a public Twitter timeline for a variety of reasons. I don't much like there being a long, public list of my random thoughts for obvious reasons.
This Python script (should you configure it properly and put it in your crontab) will periodically remove all tweets older than a certain age from your twitter timeline, and record them for posterity in a log file.
